Testing & Calibration
The MidMeds test and calibration service will provide you with the assurance that your medical equipment is running to the highest levels of accuracy, efficiency, and reliability. The certificate you will receive following our visit will provide proof that you are confirming to GMS contract requirements. In addition, you will be able to satisfy CQC requirements.
How Our Service Works:
1. Arrange - Our dedicated services customer support team will arrange a time and date which suits you best for our engineer to come and carry out the required work.
2. Pre-visit Check - Our services team will contact you up to two weeks prior to your appointment to confirm the time and date. We will also talk you through what you should expect on the day of the visit.
3. Visit - One of our expert engineers will perform the testing and calibration of your equipment. You will be informed of any faults or suggested replacements on the day.
4. Certificate - Your Certificate will arrive via the email you provided. This usually takes a couple of weeks after your Calibration appointment. You can use this certificate to provide the CQC with evidence that your equipment meets requirements.
The World Health Organisation's definition of medical equipment
"Medical devices requiring calibration, maintenance, repair, user training and decommissioning – activities usually managed by clinical engineers. Medical equipment is used for the specific purposes of diagnosis and treatment of disease or rehabilitation following disease or injury; it can be used either alone or in combination with any accessory, consumable or other pieces of medical equipment. Medical equipment excludes implantable, disposable or single-use medical devices."
