The non-woven structure of Sorbsan's alginate and the high mannuronic acid content maximises gelling and absorption when in contact with wound exudate: Sorbsan quickly forms a soft, conformable, amorphous gel perfect for conforming to the contours of a superficial, deep or cavity wound.
