Emfilm IV Central Line Dressing - 9cm x 12cm x 50

Emfilm IV dressings are sterile, adhesive, waterproof dressings designed for the securement of IV cannulas. These Emfilm IV dressings are also latex-free, semi-permeable film membranes designed to protect against liquids, bacteria, and viruses, whilst maintaining optimal wound environments including good oxygen and moisture vapour exchange.

Indications for Use:

IV Cannulation Sites
PICC Lines
Peripheral Lines
Paediatric Lines
Central Lines

Application:

Clean and dry the application area utilising aseptic technique.
Remove centre cut out which also holds the 2 sterile fixation tape strips.
Peel the backing paper away from the framed film dressing.
Apply the dressing by placing it over the catheter so that transparent film covers insertion site.
Position the soft cloth tape section over the catheter wings with the port at end of the deep round or V notch.
Overlap each side of the soft cloth tape underneath the port hub.
Remove the frame and gently firm edges down to ensure adhesion.
Finally, remove documentation label from frame and apply to the skin or dressing, use extra tape to secure IV line.
